Educational Training Fund - CEU Courses

IEC provides quality continuing education courses for electrical state license renewal and professional development through an online platform designed to meet the schedules of working adults. Register first, then enter your unique user name and password to log into your personal account with IEC. From there, you can select the courses you need to meet the licensing requirements in Washington.

IEC CEU courses feature:

  • Unlimited access, 24 hours a day
  • The opportunity to work at your own pace, on your own schedule
  • Text sections followed by multiple choice & true/false questions
  • Color graphics and computer animations
  • Feedback on missed questions.
  • The ability to log-in and log-out as many times as you wish
  • The ability to retake a course as many times as you need to receive a passing grade.
IEC is an approved continuing education provider in Washington.

Course Rates:

4 hour CEU:   $40
8 hour CEU:   $75

IEC Member Discount (those journeymen employed by IEC member contractors):

IEC Members receive a 20% discount on CEU training rates.
IEC Member pricing:   4 hour CEU: $32;   8 hour CEU: $60

Discounts will be rebated to the member within 5 business days. Rebates will be issued electronically to the credit/debit account charged for the course. Rebates will not be issued via check or to any form of funding other than that used originally.

Payment Information:

We use PayPal as our payment processor. This allows us to keep our fees to you low. And since PayPal is universally accessible, you can use it from anywhere, at any time.

Courses must be paid for prior to beginning the course.

Course Completion Verification:

A certificate of successful completion will be sent to you via US Mail within 5 business days of successful course completion. This certification is for your records. IEC reports successful completion of CEU’s to the Department of Labor and Industries as required by Washington state law.

RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS: You are required to take 24 hours of continuing education course work in the three years since your last renewal or license:
  • 8 hours of your CEU’s must be on currently adopted National Electrical Code changes
  • 4 hours must be on currently adopted Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 19.28 and related Washington Administrative Codes (WAC)
